KAT Marketing was engaged to redevelop the website for the National College of Education (NCE), accessible at https://nationaleducation.college/.
The primary objective was to deliver a new custom-built website and content management system (CMS) that would reflect a strategic shift from targeting individual learners to engaging education facilities (schools, trusts, colleges).
Key priorities included refreshing design and UX, introducing a more sophisticated navigation experience, integrating trackable forms for ongoing email marketing and establishing a robust resource library to underpin NCE’s growing role as a knowledge partner to education organisations.
Custom Build, Flexible Backend and Strategic UX Alignment
Our approach centred on building a bespoke CMS that would give the internal NCE team full autonomy over content updates and site management-ensuring they were not reliant on KAT Marketing for ongoing changes. We considered the evolving market focus (from individual learners to institutional clients) in the UX redesign, crafting a refreshed interface that placed education facilities front-and-centre, with streamlined access to partner-facing content and toolkits.
The navigation was re-imagined as a well-structured “mega-nav” to allow visitors to easily locate core pages, resources and forms. Meanwhile, we embedded tracking into key forms to support email-marketing automation and lead nurture. The resource section was planned to become a knowledge hub, reinforcing NCE’s expertise in the sector.

We implemented a redesigned mega navigation menu, reducing user effort for discovering the features, services and resources most relevant to schools and trusts. Trackable forms were integrated throughout the site to capture leads and support ongoing email campaigns.
A dedicated resource section - structured as a knowledge library — was launched, enabling the institution to publish guides, insights and downloadable assets. The design was responsive, ensuring full mobile and desktop compatibility, and the overall architecture supports future growth and evolving marketing workflows.
