The sun shone, the crowds gathered and the community spirit was out in force as another hugely successful Boxted 10K weekend brought runners, volunteers and supporters together from across Essex and Suffolk.
Several members of the KAT Marketing team were proud to be among the hundreds of participants taking part in the event, with KAT runners lining up for both the 10K and 5K races. Swapping laptops and client meetings for running shoes and country lanes, the team embraced the challenge and helped make the day one to remember.
With the start and finish line at the heart of the village at Boxted St Peter's Primary School, the Boxted 10K has become a real highlight of the local calendar. The event combines scenic routes through the Essex countryside with a fantastic atmosphere created by volunteers, spectators and organisers who work tirelessly to make it happen.
As a business based in Boxted, supporting community initiatives has always been important to KAT Marketing. The event is about much more than crossing the finish line. It is an opportunity to bring people together, celebrate local pride and raise valuable funds for the Boxted School Association.
The KAT team rose to the challenge with determination, enthusiasm and plenty of smiles along the way. Whether achieving personal bests, completing their first organised race or simply enjoying the experience, every participant played their part in another memorable day for the village.
KAT volunteers worked throughout the day, managing a water station and encouraging runners from start to finish, helping to create what was a brilliant atmosphere.
Congratulations to everyone who took part, volunteered or cheered from the sidelines.
We are already looking forward to doing it all again next year.
