Following the sparkling success of our last festive trail with Galloper Wind Farm, we’re delighted to see the return of Harwich Stars for Christmas 2023!
The inaugural Harwich Stars project saw a twinkling trail of beautiful festive cardboard stars, hand decorated by gifted youngsters from local primary schools, across Harwich and Dovercourt – and we’re bringing that same touch of Christmas magic and free family fun this December.
Pupils, their families, and visitors to the area will be able to head out from Friday 1st December 2023 until Tuesday 2nd January 2024, to follow the trail and visit the stars, displayed pride of place in the windows and shopfronts of businesses, many of which are joining in the merriment for a second year!
Star locations, which includes venues within Old Harwich, Barrack Lane, Dovercourt High Street and beyond, will be plotted on our downloadable trail map for one and all to visit and enjoy on their festive walks and Christmas shopping sessions this year.

A big thank you once again to Galloper Wind Farm for sponsoring the project for another year to spread the community spirit across the area – as well as to participating venues, the Dovercourt and Harwich primary schools and of course the pupils themselves for the stellar artwork.
We can’t wait to see the unique starry creations from Harwich and Dovercourt’s budding young artists and head out ourselves to follow the magic of the stars in situ this Christmas season!
Keep your eyes peeled on our social media channels for updates, images and more from the trail – and make sure to share your own snaps and videos using #HarwichStars to share the magic with our followers.
