Nothing Can Replace The Human Touch

At the touch of a button you can see your home on a screen from the other side of the world.

With the lightest of taps on your keyboard, you can discover any fact on any subject and you can buy your entire Christmas present list without getting out of your chair.

Connectivity has never been better, faster nor more important than it is today thanks to the lightning speed and extraordinary scope of the internet.

And it is assured that AI – with its boundless possibilities - will accelerate our knowledge and abilities even further.

This digital age brings with it limitless potential and it could be stated, with absolute certainty, that there is not a single successful business which does not use the internet to extend its reach and opportunities.

So this comment might seem quite strange but bear with me.

To be clear, we here at KAT Marketing not only acknowledge the value and importance of the digital age, we wholeheartedly embrace it. We thrive on innovation, revel in creativity and are always, always ahead of the curve.

However, we would also argue there is still a place in this world for good old fashioned face-to-face meetings.

In the past few weeks, our MD Katie Skingle has been out and about just about everywhere… at the launch of the newly transformed St Nicholas Square in Colchester city centre, flying a plane as part of the Virage Aviation Challenge at Beccles Airfield, attending Community 360’s Colchester presentation and at the University of Essex, Colchester Institute and Freeport East’s summer receptions to name but a few.

The events were opportunities to mark the beginning of new eras as well as to celebrate success. But they were also a chance for old acquaintances to catch up and for new friendships to be made.

Digital connections are all well and good – more than that, they are essential. But there is still something important about the human touch. It is utterly intangible and impossible to quantify but somehow it matters. It is about building relationships, forging trust, growing together. And it is on these foundations, this blending of new and old worlds that we all thrive.

If you want to discuss your plans with our team, get in touch. We’d be happy to meet you and begin a new journey together.
